Cara Abbot, Groomer
I have a wonderful husband and 3 "fur" kids (Jack, Monkey, and Royce)... 2 cats and our new addition chihuahua mix that absolutely rules the household! I grew up in a small town surrounded by animals (cows, pigs, horses, dogs, cats) and it was always a dream of mine to eventually work with them. About seven years ago I was introduced to dog grooming and absolutely fell in love! My favorite part of this job is the look on my customers faces when they come to pick up and know I've made them happy... not only with the way their dog looks but knowing and trusting that I will care for them like my own.
Kim Stacks
I have worked in the veterinary field for more than 20 years. I have loved animals for as far back as I can remember and I can’t imagine doing anything else. My babies include two dogs, six cats, fish, two birds, chickens and a bearded dragon. Our house is a mini zoo and I love every minute of it. I live in Newnan, am married with one son and two beautiful grandsons, Hayden and Greyson. In my free time I enjoy reading, drawing and spending time with family and friends
Leslie Mobley
I started with Sharpsburg Animal Hospital when it opened in the spring of 2020. I have worked in the veterinary field for 22 years. Animals have always been a passion of mine. I take great pride in my job. I feel that every pet should be treated as my very own. I have 2 Australian Cattle Dogs, Wyatt and Stella. We also have 2 rescue pups, Jack and Ally. And we can’t forget Pete the Cat. I’m also a proud Mama to a wild 4 year old little boy who keeps me on my toes. In my free time I enjoy traveling, spending time with loved ones and spending time at home with my “zoo”.
Luann
Began grooming after retiring from NWA/Delta Airlines. She attended a grooming academy in SC and began a mobile pet grooming business, Bows & Bones Mobile Pet Grooming in Woodstock, GA. Her family moved to Portland, OR where she continued her grooming business until returning to Georgia. Due to zoning regulations she sold her grooming business but began working at Coweta Animal Hospital for Dr. Christy and is very excited to be able to work with her again at Sharpsburg Animal Hospital. Luann loves all animals and has 2 rescued German Shepherds. She volunteers with Canine Pet Rescue in Dacula, GA and also partners with them through her other business ownership, Compass Travel, LLC-Dream Vacations. Luann manages her travel business full time and will be grooming part time at SAH specializing in large dog baths/deshedding, summer cuts and shave downs plus "pet styles" for many other breeds.
Cullen LaClair
Cullen LaClair, Veterinary Technician
I’ve been with Sharpsburg Animal Hospital since June 2020. I’m relatively new to the veterinary field with most of my previous experience in a shelter environment. Before coming to veterinary medicine, I earned a BS in Biology from Emory University where I also did graduate work in immunology and virology. As a self-proclaimed “cat guy”, I’ve been the proud owner of several rescue cats. I strive to provide the highest level of care to all of our furry family members. I’m passionate about animal welfare education with a special emphasis on public education regarding community cats and TNR.
Ashley W
Growing up, I was always a huge animal lover and had many different pets throughout my childhood. I’ve been in the veterinary field for almost 8 years, and have always known helping animals was my calling. I live on a mini farm with my fiancé and our furry, feathery, and hoofed crew, but our door is open to any animal in need. I enjoy fostering kittens, and also hope to become licensed to do wildlife rehabbing in the near future.
Amber Jones
Being an military brat I’ve moved around a bit. I moved to Georgia from Germany in ’99. Shortly after, I got involved with TNR and that started my love for the feral community. I’ve been in the veterinary field for 19 years, so saving animals isn’t what I do it’s who I am. My passion is exotic and wildlife medicine, manatees being an obsession of mine. However, I do hold a special love for senior pets. I have opened my home to a number of different species of foster animals over the years but currently have 3 rescue cats of my own, Potato, Chowder and Roy. In my spare time I enjoy going to the lake, kayaking (especially with manatees), and volunteering with local rescue events.
